Oakland A’s co-owner Lew Wolff is gobbling up more land in Fremont for his new ballpark village, according to Chris De Benedetti’s nice catch Sunday in the Argus. Using the ficticious business name Fountains Business Park LLC, Wolff and his partners snatched up seventeen acres just north of their proposed A’s stadium site. Last summer, Wolff bought eight acres just east of the site. Combined with the 143 acres the A’s plan to buy from the real estate giant, Catellus, Wolff will have some 168 acres to build a new ballpark paid for by a surrounding village of condos, homes, a hotel, and retail.
