.A’s Owner Kisses Up to San Jose Mayor

In a shameless display of pandering to the City of San Jose, Oakland A’s co-owner Lew Wolff was scheduled to introduce Mayor Chuck Reed at his sold-out annual State of the City speech today, according to the Mercury News. Wolff’s appearance, however, was not expected to be accompanied by any announcement about his efforts to move the A’s to the South Bay. In other words, Wolff was just kissing up to Reed and symbolically showing his eagerness to dump Oakland.
