Annual Festivus Jubilee

When: Thu., Dec. 23, 6-9 p.m. 2010

Any holiday that's good enough for Seinfeld already has the stamp of approval as far as we're concerned. Originally conceived as a quasi-intellectual affront to the season's materialist excess, now more closely tied to a general spirit of in-your-face irreverence, Festivus replaces a Christmas tree or menorah with an industrialist aluminum pole, and revels in traditions including a wrestling match and a dinnertime "airing of grievances." On Thursday, Dec. 23, the folks at Bunjo's Comedy Lounge (6513 Regional St., Dublin) are throwing a self-proclaimed Festivus Jubilee, featuring sets from local comics as well as various themed activities. 6-9 p.m., $12 (plus two-item minimum).925-264-4413 or BunjosComedy.com
