Amanece / 9th Symphony

For the last concert of this fall semester, the UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra presents Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and “Amanece”, by Antonio Juan-Marcos, a Mexican composer and musician living in Berkeley. "Amanece" is the third and last part of a song cycle entitled “Dos son un Jardín” (Two are a Garden) and is inspired by the poetry of Nobel Prize winner Octavio Paz.
