All in This Tea

When: Thu., Feb. 7, 7 p.m. 2008

You sip it and savor it, but where did that oolong in your cup come from? All in This Tea, the latest effort by EastBay filmmakers Les Blank and Gina Leibrecht, follows international tea expert and importer David Lee Hoffman to remote regions of China in search of rarefied leaves. Screening at UC Berkeley's Hearst Museum of Anthropology Gallery (Kroeber Hall, Bancroft Way and College Ave.) on Feb. 7, the film explores how the history of tea and the history of China have been inextricably linked, for better and for worse. Blank will be on hand for questions and answers. 7 p.m., free. HearstMuseum.berkeley.edu
