Today, we’ve gotta give Don Perata his props. According to the Sacto Bee, Perata has introduced legislation that would boost disability payments to workers who have been permanently injured on the job. After the workers comp reforms of 2004, such payments have dropped between fifty and seventy percent, and the Senate President is seeking to restore some small compensation for the maimed and crippled.
