7th Annual Jail Break Run

When: Sun., July 19, 8 a.m. 2009

Being chased by the Sheriff's Department might not be the way you want to spend Saturday night, but if you're up for a 5- or 10-K dash on Sunday morning, you might be pleased with the results. The Alameda County Sherriff's Association, in conjunction with the Special Olympics of Northern California, is hosting its seventh annual Jail Break Run on July 19. Participants will get to run through the same hill that S.W.A.T team members must master. And they will be running right next to you, giving you all the more incentive to try to stay in front. Starting at the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Training Center (6289 Broder Blvd., Dublin). Check-in starts at 6:30 a.m., $30 same-day registration.
