7th Annual Documentary Film Festival

Mon., Nov. 3 2008

Friday, Oct. 31 — Thursday, Nov. 6

Location: Shattuck Cinema, 2230 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley

Oscar Wilde once said: "The truth is rarely pure and never simple." With over 30 films from around the world, the 7th annual Documentary Film Festival (DocFest) is offering a week of complex and engaging nonfiction films and videos. Presenting new films from around the world and plenty of premieres, the festival has something for everyone.

The Berkeley run of the festival opens with films about an eccentric mini golf course owner, single people talking about dating, and gentrification in Brooklyn. DocFest wraps with Operation Filmmaker, starring Liev Shcreiber.
