When: Sat., Dec. 8, 12-6 p.m. 2018
This Saturday, join Cleophus Quealy Beer Company in San Leandro as they celebrate their fourth anniversary. To mark the occasion, the brewery will release a special edition quadrupel called the Fourths Majeure — a barrel-aged beer with orange, tangerine, lemon, and bergamot that clocks in at 10.5 percent ABV. There’ll also be a barrel-aged winter saison, a sour dark ale, an IPA, a red ale, a porter with oak-smoked malt, a gose aged in rye whiskey barrels, and a Belgian bitter. Plus, Canasta Kitchen Food Truck will be serving tacos, burgers, chicken and waffles, and flautas. For entertainment, there’ll be live T-shirt silk screening and a DJ spinning vintage tunes. Best of all, the celebration will raise funds for a good cause: Building Futures’ Winter Warming Shelter in San Leandro as well as an upcoming location in Alameda, which will provide people with a warm place to sleep on cold and rainy days along with dinner and breakfast.
