Sample the Bay Area's choreographic riches during 20/20 Points of View: 20 Choreographers Celebrate Luna's 20th Anniversary, a full day of performances, rehearsals, and dialogue on Wednesday, Apr. 25, the midpoint of National Dance Week. For two decades, Emeryville's Luna Dance Institute (1400 65th St., Emeryville) has provided nationally acclaimed dance education to children and empowered everyone from classroom teachers to social workers to enhance kids' lives through dance. In tribute, artists including Shinichi Iova-Koga, Sonya Delwaide, Byb Chanel Bibene, and Kendra Kimbrough will present works and works in progress for thirty minutes each. Their styles range from tango to contemporary to butoh and beyond, making it a celebration of our wondrously varied dance community as well as a swell soiree for Luna.
