In 2001, seven guys from Charlie Todd’s Improv Everywhere collective held their first “No Pants Subway Ride” throughout the transit lines of New York City. Since, thousands of pants-wearing commuters in cities around the world have joined in on this colorful expression of ... not wearing pants in public? The organizers of this year’s Bay Area ride hope for more than 600 folks to walk onto the trains fully-pantsed, “keeping a straight face and acting completely normal,” before self-de-pantsing and exposing the “interesting undies and colorful socks” they have hidden below. Follow live updates of the event at the @NoPantsSF Twitter account, especially if you want to avoid this nonsense altogether.
