Restaurant Details

With its bright lime-green exterior, arty design aesthetic, and excellent sandwiches, this tiny breakfast-and-lunch spot stands out in a stretch of West Oakland with few restaurant options. At lunch, the sandwiches are excellent. For brunch, try the biscuits and chicken-sausage gravy (with or without a fried chicken breast on top) or the decadent “Elvis French Toast”: Nutella and chopped banana spread between thick slices of Texas toast, the whole thing dipped in tempura batter and flash-fried. Order at the counter and take your food to-go, or sit at one of the long communal tables.
