The heyday of the pinball machine vanished with bellbottom pants, cocaine, and the Bee Gees. But, just as all those things have come back to haunt us again, there is a place on Alameda where you can relive those flipper-filled days of yore, and you don’t need a single quarter to do it. Mike Schiess has collected and rebuilt twenty vintage pinball machines and every weekend, Mike allows the humble public to come and enjoy his passion for pinball. For just $5 a person, you can play all night long and never have to worry about fishing the coins out of your car’s bucket seats. You can even bring your own beer and soda to sip while you flip; pulling on a Pabst while playing pinball is sure to make your wrist more supple. This is one weekend activity you can’t find anywhere else.
