The wedding-industrial complex has managed to make planning a wedding as complex as managing the economy of a small Third-World country. There’s just so much to do and so much to pay for. Happily, the Wedding Gown Superstore does its best to provide one-stop shopping to future brides with little patience. It sells practically everything a woman needs on her Big Day: jewelry, tiaras, veils, shoes and, of course, wedding gowns. There are three thousand to choose from, ranging from $200 to $1,200, with an average gown going for $600. The store also has bridesmaid dresses anywhere from size 4 to 28 in a dizzying array of styles: cut-sleeves, strapless, spaghetti strap, chiffon, or satin to name a few, ranging from $119 to $219. Planning ahead is critical. It takes up to fourteen weeks for the bridesmaids’ dresses to be made and four to six months for the wedding gowns, although the store does sell some styles off the rack. One other major bonus: The Wedding Gown Superstore is right next door to the Tuxedo Warehouse.
