Ah, Target! Most people already know that few chain stores can beat Target’s selection of trendy yet inexpensive clothes, discounted salon-quality beauty products, and stylish furniture even non-yuppies can afford. But as anybody who’s shopped at the sleek store on Eastshore Highway in Albany has realized, all Targets were not created equal. This location is home to Target’s beloved cart escalators, which allow shoppers to quickly and easily navigate from one floor to another simply by maneuvering their carts onto the specially-designed cart escalators and hopping onto one of the nearby escalators reserved for humans — never having to let their soon-to-be purchases leave their sights. Of course, there are rules. Namely, these contraptions are for carts only, so don’t go trying to climb on for a joy ride. But other than that, go crazy. It’s Target after all.
