Café Colucci

Eating Ethiopian food is a highly social activity: It’s hands-on and communal, and not for the uptight or spice-shy. That’s why we like to dine at Café Colucci — we feel like we could sit there for hours, picking bites of savory stews off the plate with our fingers wrapped in that sour, soft bread called injera, and chatting with our tablemates about matters great and small. Red-meat addicts and vegans will both find much to satisfy their hunger (just don’t order the pasta). Spend just one evening in the dimly lit room ringed with Ethiopian art and you’ll feel your desire to ever leave slip away, too.
