Kathleen Richards is the editor-in-chief of the East Bay Express. Having started as an intern, she was also clubs editor, staff writer, managing editor, and co-editor at the paper. Most recently, she was the managing editor of The Stranger in Seattle. Her reporting has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, among others. She was born and raised in Berkeley, and has lived in the East Bay her entire life.
