Jody Brettkelly is a Kiwi living in Oakland via a fifteen-year stopover in London, where she was a journalist for, among others, The Times, The Mail On Sunday, and London Evening Standard. She was also a consumer and travel expert for TravelTV and TalkRadio. Her assignments during those years included: guest sports columnist writing about football player's hairdos for The Daily Telegraph during the World Cup; uncovering pension scandals; and pontificating about men who wear speedos. Her years on Fleet Street and backpacking around the Middle East have stood her in good stead for her main job these days of driving her four kids to their sports games. She is author of the blog http://aboutlastweekend.blogspot.com/
