1. Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis recently visited San Antonio and had discussions about moving the team there, the Trib$ reports. Davis has been unhappy with the pace of negotiations on a new stadium in Oakland, and his visit to San Antonio may have been part of an effort to leverage a better deal here. The Dallas Cowboys indicated that they might oppose any team moving to San Antonio because they consider it to be part of their territory.
3. The Oakland Police Department continues to make significant progress in living up to federally mandated reforms, the Trib$ reports, citing a new report from Independent Court Monitor Robert Warshaw.
4. A federal grand jury issued a new indictment against PG&E that could raise the criminal penalties that the utility would have to pay to $1.3 billion for the 2010 deadly blast in San Bruno, the Chron reports. That would be on top of the $2.5 billion penalty that PG&E likely will have to pay the state.
