Acclaimed football coach Alonzo Carter has left Berkeley High School to become the new head coach at Contra Costa College, according to the Trib. Before leading Berkeley High to three straight league titles, Carter had turned McClymonds High School in West Oakland into a football powerhouse. The former choreographer for 1990s rapper MC Hammer will have his work cut out for him at his new gig. Contra Costa won only one game in the past two years.
