Three people were killed in East Oakland over the weekend in a deadly sideshow, which apparently are back in full force. According to the Chron, witnesses said the three young people were driving in a "hyphy train," a line of cars that drive fast and weave in unison, when they lost control of their car and slammed into oncoming traffic. "It's like a conga line on wheels," Candy Turk, who lives near the crash site, told the newspaper. "It's like death on wheels."
East Oakland had been overrun by sideshows several years ago, but police were able to keep the wild, roving parties relatively under control with a special unit crackdown. However, according to SFGate, sideshows now are starting up much later at night - sometimes at 5 a.m. - to avoid police.
