A federal appeals court is considering overturning a firearms ban at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. According to the Chron, the 11-member panel of the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals appeared to be divided on the issue. The Alameda County Board of Supervisors implemented the gun ban on all county property in 1999 after a melee at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton left 16 people injured. Two gun show promoters sued to overturn the ban, claiming it violates their constitutional rights.
