New East Bay Sniper Hits 25 Cars



The California Highway Patrol is now saying that at least 25 motorists have reported being shot at on a stretch of Interstate 680 in Fremont, according to the Valley Times. The number of reported shootings skyrocketed after the news broke yesterday. The CHP believes the shooter or shooters are using a BB gun or air rifle. In the 2004 East Bay sniper case, which remains unsolved, the shooter or shooters are believed to have used a .22 caliber rifle, along with other weapons more powerful that a BB gun or air rifle. No one was seriously hurt in the either the 2004 or the current shootings.
