Holy audits, batman! The Austrian Accident has just proposed a bumper crop of new taxes (yes, taxes) to resolve the multi-billion-dollar budget deficit. The regressive sales tax is there, of course, but check this out: he wants to impose an oil extraction tax on domestic production! About damn time, too; California’s the only state that doesn’t have one. Schwarzenegger will be cutting plenty of services as well, including $2.5 billion from elementary and high schools. But the oil extraction tax, which is estimated to bring in $528 million, is a real first. Still, Schwarzenegger’s got a long way to go before we revise our sober assessment of his dickishness. Dickosity? Dickitude? Whatever; he’s a dick.
