We've always appreciated the Berkeley Daily Planet's policy of printing its readers' screeds, no matter how bizarre or annoying. Hey, it's the lifeblood of democracy, and it's fun besides. Case in point: perennial mayoral candidate Zachary Runningwolf's manifesto. In yesterday's edition, Runningwolf called mayoral candidate Shirley Dean "the Dick Cheney of Berkeley," and dubbed incumbent Tom Bates' administration "downright racist." Meanwhile, you should vote for Runningwolf because he's Native American and all in touch with the soil and shit. Really, it's better than a trip to your analyst's appointment, and free besides; no matter how unbalanced you suspect you might be, you ain't him.
