Although we'll never know exactly why the Chron gave a column to someone as compromised and riddled with conflicts of interest as Willie Brown, at least he gave us something to blog about this morning. Yesterday, after offering the stunning insight that Palin didn't humiliate herself (we saw the debate too, Willie, but thanks anyway), Brown laid into local members of Congress who voted against the draft proposal to bail out Wall Street to the tune of $700 billion. "As for the Bay Area Democrats who voted against it the first time - Lynn Woolsey, Barbara Lee, Pete Stark, Mike Thompson - they are and always will be oddballs," he wrote. Over to you, Ms. Lee. Call him something really nasty so we can write another catty post.
