.Poll: Jerry Brown Screwed Gay Marriage Ban

When attorney general and Oakland bad boy Jerry Brown changed the language of the anti-gay marriage initiative from “limit marriage” to “eliminates the right of same-sex couples to marry,” the homo-haters had a fit. They sued (unsuccessfully) and claimed in court that if people read the latter phrasing, they would be much less likely to hop on the gay-bash bandwagon. Now, a new Field Poll reveals that they were right all along! According to the Chronicle, the Field Poll demonstrates that when people realize the initiative would steal the rights of gays and lesbians to marry, support drops six points, while opposition rises to a pretty solid 55 percent. Now that Brown’s language is on the ballot, Jesus freaks have less than two months to lift popular support above the present 38 percent.
