The victim of Berkeley's eighth homicide of the year was discovered in a residence on the 2000 block of Emerson Street yesterday.
According to a memo from the Berkeley police, at 12:18 p.m., the Berkeley Fire Department was summoned to that address by someone reporting "an unresponsive adult male." Upon their arrival BFD personnel "determined that the victim - a black male adult - had died as a result of his injuries." These injuries are not specified in the memo.
