Tech blog Valleywag is running a poll of "the Valley's hottest startups." Amongst the thirty or so names in contention, one company actually hails from the East Bay -- Oakland-based Internet radio site Pandora, a spinoff of the Music Genome Project. (Fellow contender iStockphoto is actually even further out of the Valley than Pandora -- it's headquartered in Canada.) So far both of them -- and nearly everything else on the list -- are being blown away by social networking site Facebook, but the polls just opened and it's really anyone's game. Here's what we want to know: if and when these companies go public, will you invest? Or is it all just a little bit of history repeating?
