Perhaps not everyone is celebrating Presidents Day today. This SF Chron audio clip features a reader's reaction to the paper's recent series on the rash of murders last year in Oakland. The reader would no doubt jump at the chance to have a word or two with the men our nation is honoring -- particularly slave owner George Washington.
The letter, read by reporter Jim Zamora (who calls it the most negative response the paper has received) is rather eloquent, despite the excessive BLEEP!ing we're forced to listen to by the Chronicle censors, who think the f-word and its kin remain too fucking offensive for our tender ears. As for the letter-writer's belief that "You white people are embedded with the genetics of the devil" well, the person may have a point.
