Trend Alert!

We were browsing through the delectably crafty clothes at Momoca in Berkeley the other day when two high school guys strolled in and immediately homed in on an item we admittedly couldn't quite identify. ("Is it a dog coat?" one of us had asked the bewildered shop owner moments earlier.) Fortunately, one of the guys pulled it over his head and happily modeled it for us. Doh - it was a hood! Seems we need a little practice in thinking outside the fashion box. After all, whoever said hoods must be attached to anything? Made by Oakland company Official Tourist, the hoods come in a fantastic array of fabrics and feature a double-snap closure beneath the chin. Snag one for your hip-hoppin' cousin, or bust the look yourself.
