.Caltrans Poised to Sell “Excess Land”

Caltrans may soon sell off hundreds of residential and business properties as well as more than 350 acres of open space in and around Hayward, reports The Daily Review. The land, once slated for freeways, would go to the highest bidder, with proceeds going to fund other road projects. Maybe we can fix those terrible East Bay potholes without costly bonds, after all.
