The City of San Leandro went forward last night with the approval of at least one medical cannabis dispensary, according to Ashly McGlone, a Bay Area News Group reporter at the city council meeting Monday night.

Earlier this year, the California Supreme Court upheld a city's right to ban medical cannabis collectives distributing the drug for cash compensation in retail storefronts. Since then, a number of cities with moratoriums on dispensaries have proceeded with full-scale bans.
Not so in compassionate San Leandro, apparently. That's great news.
Last year, San Leandro's moratorium on dispensaries expired, after rolling moratoriums stretching back to 2010, reports state.
