Whims is in need of dreams. Your dreams. The young Oakland-based comic artist has been illustrating dreams as told by the dreamers and she wants to bring more dreams a little closer to life. It’s a chance to physically see in watercolor your most privately ludicrous dream experiences. Submit to [email protected].
Not a dreamer? Whims put out a call for submissions for her occasional zine, Come Find Out. Plus, look out for her band, Secret Snacks, which debuts on April 22 at Oakland Showga (that’s a portmanteaux of live show and yoga), but “have no recording plans or anything like that.” It was billed as The Mystery Band before settling on Secret Snacks.
