After an absence of several decades, jazz is returning to the Claremont Hotel with a performance by Gerald Albright, the Oakland Tribune reports. At one time, the Claremont routinely hosted such old-school jazz greats as Count Basie, Louis Armstrong, and Tommy Dorsey. Albright, who who played Bill Clinton's inaugural, evidently decided that he'd better not wait around for Hillary to invite him back to the capital for work.
