Marilyn Manson is making news again, and thankfully it has nothing to do with Dita Von Teese or school shootings. The 21st-century king of shock-rock will be coheadlining a major-market, 25-city summer tour with pioneering metal group Slayer. The full schedule has not been confirmed, but should wrap up on the West Coast in early September (smart money says they'll hit up the Oracle Arena). Anxious to prove they're no has-beens, both groups are building serious momentum: Manson has a new record coming out in June, while Slayer was named Best Live Band by Spin readers last year and just nabbed its first-ever Grammy for Best Metal Performance. Only one question remains: Can this tour outdraw Ozzfest?
