Slow Reading Dinner

Dinner and a reading may make seem like an unusual pairing, but at University Press Books (2430 Bancroft Way, Berkeley), they -- combined with freely flowing wine -- will make the perfect match. On Tuesday, Apr. 30, join the bookstore for its ongoing "Slow Reading Dinner" series, with a meal cooked by Musical Offering chef Erick Balvazq. Everyone around the table will be asked to read some words, so bring a paragraph, a poem, a letter, or a short story to share, and then savor it along with your meal.
