2) SECRET LIVES
Stereotypes abound when it comes to Muslim women, but what are romance, dating, and sex really like for this diverse community? Find out at a reading of Love InshAllah: The Secret Love Lives of American Muslim Women, a collection of stories from 25 writers, with co-editor Ayesha Mattu. At the International House; 7:30 p.m., $10.
SF IndieFest continues tonight with screenings of Iceberg Slim: Portrait of a Pimp (7 p.m.) and Sightseers (9 p.m.), at Shattuck Cinemas.
4) BEYOND THE WHEEL
Seattle grunge band Soundgarden returns for its first tour in more than fifteen years. The band plays two dates in Oakland, tonight at tomorrow at the Fox Theater, and although both shows are sold out, there’s bound to be some tickets for sale via Craigslist. It’ll be worth it. 8 p.m., $59.50.
