You've been invited to a summer barbecue and you need a new cute outfit — fast. Where to go? You'll surely find something suitable (and discounted) at Jeremys, the last-season and salvage emporium that's become a haven for the fashionable set of the East Bay. If it's the weekend, you've got a fifty-fifty chance that the store is having a sale, which is good if you're looking for a deal, but not so good if your idea of a fun time doesn't include fighting hordes of shoppers (and their poor boyfriends) to snatch that last size six floral halter dress from Anthropologie you wanted last season but couldn't afford. This isn't shopping for those expecting boutique service or quality. But the joys of Jeremys is the thrill of the find — that designer item that doesn't appear to have any gaping holes or ripped seams — and is a fraction of the original price. Granted, that doesn't happen every day, but good things come to those who're persistent.
