Sure, you may have snuggled (or done more) in the backseat of your beater as the light from the latest blockbuster illuminated your secretive tryst, but the new best way to get cuddly with your beau doesn't require four wheels and permission from the parents to stay out past curfew. On Thursday nights in the summer, Jack London Waterfront Flicks screens a combination of recent blockbusters and old-school favorites, including Pixar's Brave and The Goonies. The films roll at dusk, but the party starts well before the sun sets. Pre-screening festivities include trivia questions, with prize incentives, and beer from New Belgium. Drink, watch, and make out with abandon — all proceeds benefit East Bay Bike Coalition. If sing-alongs are more your style, belt one out during monthly Friday screenings of musical hits such as Little Shop of Horrors and Mamma Mia! Add in a takeout meal from a local eatery to enjoy on the grass, and you're sure to nail date night, if not your date.
