There's probably an unspoken agreement between Blick employees and art school students by now: walk in the door, hand them your class supply list, and follow them around with a cart as they toss the exact products in. The employees are pretty much that helpful; they could probably find your incredibly specific Old Holland Kolinsky sable paintbrush request with their eyes closed. Plus students get a discount, which comes in handy when facing that long, daunting list. But this store isn't just for art school kids. With easels, oil paints, ceramic supplies, and everything in between, the art store is a go-to spot for novices and retired painters alike. In addition, alongside the hunks of vine charcoal and various textured paper are selections of trinkets including cutesy erasers and bookmarks — perfect for that artsy friend who collects too much stuff. Or for yourself, of course.
