Oh, my. Out in Maryland’s Prince George’s County, former school superintendent Andre Hornsby is about to go on trial on sixteen federal charges of wire fraud, evidence tampering, and witness tampering. Seems Hornsby allegedly steered a $1.3 million contract to Leapfrog Enterprises, the Emeryville-based education company. But he allegedly failed to disclose that his live-in girlfriend Sienna Owens worked as a sales rep for Leapfrog. At her trial, Owens testified that she split a $20,000 commission on the sale with Hornsby, who has denied the charges. This will be the second trial for Hornsby, whose first trial ended wtih a deadlocked jury.
