.Berkeley Skate Park Still a Big Headache

Fun piece in the latest Berkeley Daily Planet, in which Judith Scherr notes that after spending $800,000 building a skate park in West Berkeley, the city is now dispatching workers to fill in cracks and fissures that are constantly appearing in the facility. In fact, the city’s leaders are thinking about asking the voters to approve a $2.2 million bond to tear the thing down and start all over again. Who knew building a large concrete bowl would be so complicated? Can’t we just drain the warm water pool or something?
